General Question & Answers

Q: How do I get started?
A: Simply click on Pricing and Sign Up in the navigation. If you have not created a user profile, you will be taken to that page first, then from there simply fill out the information requested to instantly add your community to our growing network.

Q: Are there-long term contracts involved?
A: No. We typically invoice quarterly for paper billing or you can choose monthly billing with a credit card...but in either instance, you can cancel with 30 days' written notice.

Q: What's the biggest advantage of partnering with Retirenet.com?
A: Instant search engine recognition. We're at the top...and we’ve adapted our programming to work with Search Engine spiders to visit your showcase on Retirenet.com so it appears on Google, Yahoo and Bing search results.

Q: Which is better: Flat Rate pricing or Pay-Per-Lead (PPL)?
A: That all depends on where you are and what your market is. You can test the waters with a PPL account; then after a month or so, look at how many leads you’re getting and switch to a monthly listing fee if you desire.  Or the other way around—if you're in a market where you receive qualified leads but there aren't a lot of them; it may be smarter to pay only for the inquiries you receive. At any rate, you'd know within 30 to 60 days.

Q: It seems like the PPL is a safer proposition...
A: It really could be; however, you get fewer Showcase features than you would with a monthly listing. For instance, you aren't able to use our APIs on your own website. Also,  your monthly fee may be slightly higher...even though, in the end, you're only paying for qualified results. But no matter which plan you choose, your costs can be less than you might spend on Google Adsense or Yahoo or any of our competitors.

Q: How do you send me leads or inquiries?
A: Two ways: either by email, or delivered to an Open Leads account. Open Leads is a lean and powerful lead management application which we developed ourselves, specifically for use in the retirement housing industry. Q: Are you there to help if I need it?
A: Absolutely. Call or click our online-chat Customer Service rep. We'll walk you through the process...and in some cases, do it for you, just to get your feet on the ground.

 

Showcase Features Question & Answers

Q: Can I manage home listings and photos on Retiret.com and have them update on my own website?
A: Yes. We’ve written an API (application program interface) to do just that. Once it's set up, you won't need a programmer or designer...it updates automatically, in real time.

Q: But I’m not a programmer...how do I do all that?
A: In some instances we'll give you the code and instruct you on what to do. Other times, we can just do it for you. Bottom line, we're always there to help and make the process easy.

 

Pay-Per-Lead (PPL) Question & Answers

Q: How much will I be charged per lead?
A: Really, that depends on your market and where you're located. But our price per lead is generally lower than any other lead generation company.

Q: Yeah, but how qualified are the leads?
A: Even getting to the “request more information” form requires all visitors to go through a vetting process. Further, all the information on the lead form is required—so there's no missing information.

Q: What is my maximum fee per month? And what about any leads after that?
A: This is the best part and where we stand out from the rest. We’ve set a cap so that you'll always know maximum amount you ever pay. All leads after that cap are free.

Q: So what is the cap?
A: Again, it depends on your market and where you're located. Click here and tell us more about your company and we can answer that quickly for you.

Q: What if the lead is already in my database?
A: You won’t be charged! Every one of your leads will contain a form that allows you to challenge the charge. Simply specify the reason for the challenge and that charge will be deducted from your bill. You have 14 days to challenge any lead for the following reasons:

  1. The lead is a duplicate of one already in your database.
  2. The lead information is not valid.
  3. The lead is simply not qualified to purchase (meaning, doesn't have the ability or the intention of committing to a retirement community or facility.)

Q: What is the billing cycle?
A: We invoice on the 15th of each month for the previous month’s leads. This gives you two weeks to challenge any lead.
